
CBSE Business Studies Class 12 Analysis: "Balanced Paper," Says Experts
The Central Board of Secondary Education held the Class 12 Business Studies exam on Saturday, Feb 22. The students who have appeared for the examination has found the paper friendly. The board exam was held for 80 marks. While speaking to the experts, they have said, “Overall business studies paper was balanced and covered all important topics”.
Timeline spoke with Dr. Neetu Kapoor, Principal of Army Public School, along with Ms Sarika Mathur and Ms Anjna Kaushik, of Army Public School, about the exam conducted today in India and abroad.

They said that the entire paper was based on NCERT and paper pattern was exactly as expected. “Case-based and assertion-reasoning questions required deep conceptual clarity, making it difficult for students who relied only on memorization,” they added.
They further added that students who had focused on understanding the concepts and practiced case studies could perform well in the examination. However, some of the case questions asked in the board paper were tricky and lengthy which requires in-depth knowledge and thinking skills, the experts added.
CBSE Class 12 exams are graded out of a total of 100 marks per subject. The final result is calculated by adding both theory and practical exam marks. Practical exams are internally administered by schools and have a weightage of 20 marks. Students need to score a minimum of 33 per cent in every subject as well as in aggregate to pass.
