CBSE Clarification On Practice Question Papers: "No Collaboration With Edukart"

When asked about whether Central Board of Secondary Education or CBSE, the national level school education regulator, had any collaboration with a private company called Educart in designing practice papers for the board examinations, the board said it “has not collaborated with Educart in anyway”.

Recently, some publications carried a sponsored content on their websites, in which it was suggested by experts that “the additional questions material provided alongside by Educart, students will be able to practise well on this new competency paper”. This raised concerns among students and parents. The Board was responding to these concerns.

“It is clarified that CBSE has not collaborated with Educart in any way. These extra or additional practice papers have been developed for class X and XII students to facilitate them in tackling application-based questions of higher order thinking skills and enhance their conceptual understanding of topics. These papers are available at official website of CBSE and can be downloaded free of cost,” the Board said in a clarification to the media.

“As per NEP 2020 recommendations, the Board had initiated Competency Focused Education and Assessment in its affiliated schools and has  recently released practice papers in all major subjects of Classes X and  XII. Board is also issuing a Public Alert in this regard,” CBSE said.
