CBSE Class 12 Results: 95.84 Per Cent Pass In Foreign Schools Including Gulf Region

In the Class 12 results announced by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) today, the overseas schools registered with the Indian national education board recorded a pass percentage of 95.84. As per the data provided by the CBSE, for the academic year 2023-2024, 20,411 students had registered for the Class 12 examination held by the board from February 15 to April 2. In which, a total of 20,355 students had appeared in the exam and out of which 19,508 students qualified for higher education. This includes the students from the Gulf countries like United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain.

More than 16 lakh students had registered for the CBSE Class 12 examinations this year and over 14 lakh qualified for the higher education overall.

According to the data provided by the education ministry of India, there are over 250 overseas schools affiliated to CBSE. Out of that, more than 200 schools are in the GCC and among that 106 schools are in the UAE.

In a recent visit to UAE union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan has confirmed this information.

Of the 5 lakh Indian students studying in CBSE-affiliated Indian schools in the GCC, according to the minister, more than 2.50 lakh students are there in the UAE.

CBSE has also announced the Class 10 results today afternoon. In both Class 10 and Class 12 results, Kerala”s Thiruvananthapuram region topped with highest pass percentage in the country.

This year a total of 16,33,730 students were registered for the exam and a total 16,21,224 appeared for the CBSE class 12th board exam. The total pass percentage for the year 2024 is 87.98 percent. This year the pass percentage improves by 0.65%. As per the CBSE, the overall pass percentage improvement from 87.33% from 2023 has been due to the students good performance in the Competency Based Question Papers. This year 40% of the questions were based on the Competency Based Questions.
