The Delhi University Student’s Union (DUSU) elections will be announced today November 25, 2024, as the vote counting is underway. The initial results show a neck-to-neck competition as both the contesting organizations Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and the National Student’s Union of India (NSUI).
After Round 11 DUSU votes counting the result the ABVP and NSUI are running ahead on 2-2 posts.
NSUI leads on President and joint secretary posts while ABVP leading on Secretary and Vice President posts.

In the sixth rounds of voting counting NSUI was leading in President and Joint Secretary posts while RSS-ABVP is leading in Vice President and Secretary posts. The vote counting is ongoing after two months of DUSU elections and a total of 21 candidates are vying for the four central panel posts.
However, for the post of Secretary a marginal variation has been observed in the vote count of NSUI and ABVP as the contesting candidate’s votes were shuffling till the 4th round NSUI candidate was running ahead however, now the ABVP candidate has taken the lead.

Amid the ongoing election vote count, the Delhi University has mandated that the candidates contesting for the DUSU elections sign an affidavit to refrain from using loudspeakers, firecrackers, pamphlets and dhols once the results are announced. Also roadshows or rallies have been strictly prohibited. The affidavit says that any violation to these conditions will lead to the disqulalification of the elected candidate or cancellation of the win.
