Kerala’s INTERVAL To Step Into Skill Education, Strengthening Its Vision For Future-Ready Learning
Areekode, Kerala: INTERVAL, one of India’s fastest-growing education ventures, has announced its intention to diversify into the skill education sector, marking a bold new chapter in its growth story.
With this move, the company aims to bridge the gap between traditional academics and career-ready training, ensuring students are better equipped for the challenges of a rapidly evolving job market.
Founded by a group of college friends, Sanafir, Aslah Thadathil, Shibily Ameen, Najim Illyas, and Ramees Ali, INTERVAL began as a modest tuition initiative.
What started in small classrooms with a handful of students soon transformed into a structured platform, built on the values of personalisation, consistency, and innovation.

Over the years, INTERVAL expanded steadily into diverse segments of education, including K–12 tuition, kindergarten programs, Montessori teacher training, and spoken English courses.
Each new vertical reinforced its reputation as a reliable and progressive name in the education landscape. Today, the company has grown far beyond its early beginnings, emerging as a recognised player with a strong national footprint.
The company’s growth has been powered not only by strategic investments but also by its people-centric approach. INTERVAL now employs 350 offline staff and collaborates with a network of more than 6,500 online one-to-one tutors, creating an ecosystem of educators who are both skilled and committed.
What truly sets INTERVAL apart is its three-layer leadership structure. At the top, the founding directors define the vision and long-term strategy. Senior managers act as translators of that vision, designing frameworks for execution.
Team heads and emerging leaders then drive these plans on the ground, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. This layered model ensures that the company does not rely on individuals alone but thrives on systems, culture, and teamwork.

INTERVAL’s upcoming diversification into skill education is seen as a natural progression of its journey. The planned programs will target learners after higher secondary education, with an emphasis on career-oriented training, specialised skill development, and practical learning pathways.
The vision is to create opportunities for students to gain industry-relevant skills while complementing their academic foundations.
The initiative is expected to address the growing demand for future-ready professionals in India. With industries evolving rapidly under the influence of technology, digitalisation, and global competition, INTERVAL’s move into skill education aims to fill a crucial gap: preparing students not just for exams, but for life and work.
Reflecting on this next phase, Aslah Thadathil, Chief Growth Officer of INTERVAL, said: “Diversification should come only when the foundation is strong. At INTERVAL, our systems are stable, and our leadership is layered and aligned. That gives us the confidence to look at the future with clarity. Skill education is a natural extension of our journey, and something impactful is on the horizon.”
