The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct a retest for CUET-UG from July 15 to July 19, if the grievances raised by the candidates about the conduct of the examination are found correct, according to a report. The NTA has released the provisional answer key for the CUET – undergraduate exam and invited challenges by 6 pm on July 9. Candidates can raise objections on the provisional answer key with a non-refundable fee of Rs 200 per question.
No information is revealed about the kind of grievances raised by the candidates, however, reports say about the loss of time of candidates at certain examination centers and technical glitches.

According to a report published in HT, an NTA official said, “The NTA is also addressing public grievances regarding the exam conducted for CUET-UG that were received up to June 30. If a grievance is found genuine, the NTA is committed to redoing the exam for these candidates at selected centers any day between July 15 and 19”. The official said that the experts will verify the challenges raised by the candidates and then the final answer key will be prepared followed by the result declaration.
Over 13 lakh candidates appeared for admission into the UG courses across 261 centers. The CUET-UG exam was conducted in a hybrid mode for the first time nationwide with 15 subjects in pen-and-paper mode and an exam for 48 subjects was held in computer-based mode. The exam in Delhi was postponed a night before the exam considering the logistic issues and the exam was conducted later.

The NTA earlier announced that the third edition of the CUET-UG will be completed in seven days with no normalization of scores as all exams will be conducted in a single shift. In 2022, the exam faced technical glitches and the subject scores were normalized for different subjects.
The CUET – UG result gets delayed due to the alleged irregularities in exams such as NEET and UGC – NET. The center took various measures to bring transparency and accuracy in the conduct of the examination in the recent past.
