"Tough": NEET PG Candidates Review The Exam

India’s NEET PG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate), a nationwide entrance exam for medical graduates seeking admission to postgraduate medical courses like MD, MS, and PG Diploma programs, was held today in various centres across the country for more than two lakh students. This year’s NEET PG exam was marred in controversies with postponement, candidates complaining about the issues of travelling to exam centres and allegations of paper leak. The NEET PG paper leak allegation was refuted by the Health Ministry, and called them “unfounded and misleading”. Meanwhile, candidates efforts to postpone the exam which is conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) went in vein as various letters and court cases did not yield any results.

Many candidates who have appeared for the exam which is the only entrance test for PG medical courses in the country that replaced various state-level exams and institutional entrance tests have now took to social media to give their feedback. According to many, the overall nature of the NEET PG exam this year was ‘tough’, while many called the standard as “NEET PG type tough”.

A candidate who appeared for the exam said this about the first shift: “Neet pg shift 1: Umbilicus, fatigue, gen weakness, MTP, beyond UG level Cxr’s. Aisa lagra saari mehnat bekar gayi”.

This was the review of some candidates on the level of toughness of the NEET PG questions:

Another candidate commented this about the organisation of the NEET PG exam:

“NBE should mention on admit card that you will only be allowed to use washroom as exam commences not before that. Don’t know whether this was at every centre or not but the exam fully tested my bladder.”

One candidate found the whole questions were “beyond UG level (syllabus)”.

Another candidates reaction on the exam was this:

“Marrow can make a separate PYQ module based on Umbilicus from this year’s,” this was the take of another candidate one NEET PG exam.
