Congress' Shalley Chaudhary Retains Sitting Constituency, Naraingarh

Congress sitting MLA Shalley Chaudhary has retained her sitting constituency Naraingarh, defeating BJP candidate Dr.Pawan Saini by a margin of 15,094 votes.

During the last assembly elections, the Congress MLA had won the seat by securing a majority of 53,470 votes.

In the 2014 Haryana Assembly elections, Nayab Singh of BJP won in this seat defeating Ram Kishan of INC by a margin of 24,361 which was 17.32% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 39.76% in 2014 in this seat.

In the 2009 Haryana Assembly elections, Ram Kishan of INC won in this seat defeating Ram Singh of INLD by a margin of 8,320 which was 7.17% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 32.13% in 2009 in this seat.
