INC candidate Jai Prakash Bhai Patel was running ahead of AJSU candidate Nirmal Mahto with a big margin of votes during the early hours, however, shifting the voting course the AJSU candidate won the Mandu seat.
A total of 13 candidates were in the fray for the Mandu Assembly seat in the 2024 Jharkhand Assembly election. In the 2024 Jharkhand Assembly election, Mandu voted on November 20, 2024 and the counting of votes is on November 23, 2024. There were a total of 4,25,441 registered voters on the electoral rolls for the 2024 Assembly election in Mandu Assembly constituency, of which 2,17,792 were male, 2,07,638 female and 11 of the third gender.

In the 2019 Jharkhand Assembly elections, Jai Prakash Bhai Patel of BJP won in this seat defeating Nirmal Mahto of AJSUP by a margin of 2,062 which was 00.86% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 20.87% in 2019 in this seat.
In the 2014 Jharkhand Assembly elections, Jai Prakash Bhai Patel of JMM won in this seat defeating Kumar Mahesh Singh of BJP by a margin of 7,012 which was 3.07% of the total votes cast for the seat. JMM had a vote share of 34.38% in 2014 in this seat.

In the 2009 Jharkhand Assembly elections, Teklal Mahto of JMM won in this seat defeating Kumar Mahesh Singh of INC by a margin of 7,978 which was 4.73% of the total votes cast for the seat. JMM had a vote share of 22.03% in 2009 in this seat.
