BJP candidate Amol Jawale wins from the Raver assembly constituency. He has defeated Dhananjay Chaudhari of the Congress by a margin of votes by a margin of 43,562 votes.
Amol is the son of former two-time MP late Haribhau Jawale. After the death of his father, Jawale worked hard for the development of the constituency. A BJP loyalist, the party exhibited confidence in Jawale and entrusted him with the responsibility of West District President position.
Dhananjay is the former MLA Shirish Chaudhari’s son. Citing health reasons, Shirish did not want to contest from the Raver assembly seat and wanted to give the ticket to his son. “I have requested Balasaheb Thorat [Congress Legislature party leader] and the party’s state chief, Nana Patole, to give the ticket to my son as I am not willing to contest the Raver seat during the forthcoming state assembly polls due to health reasons,” the Times of India quotes, as the Chaudhari is saying.

In the 2019 elections, Shirish has defeated then sitting BJP MLA and Amole Jawale’s father Haribhau by a margin of 15,609 votes. Raver was the sole seat won by Congress in Jalgaon district during the 2019 Assembly polls. In 2014, Haribhau defeated Shirish and won the seat by a margin of 10,000 votes.
In 2009, Shirish won the seat for the first time by contesting as an independent candidate. Traditionally, Raver is considered as the constituency of freedom fighter and former Legislative Assembly Speaker Madhukarrao Chaudhary.
The 288 assembly seats in the State went to polls in a single phase on November 20 and 66.05% voter turnout was recorded. As the ruling Mahayuti alliance hopes to continue in power, opposition Mahavikas Aghadi (MVA) strives for a strong comeback.
