In a decisive turn of events, Medipally Sathyam of the Indian National Congress (INC) has emerged as the clear winner in the Choppadandi Assembly Constituency during the 2023 Telangana Assembly elections. The Election Commission has officially declared Medipally Satyam”s victory, as he secured a resounding win with a total margin of 37,439 votes. The elections to the Telangana state assembly were held on November 30 in 119 constituencies.
Opponent Sunke Ravishankar of the BRS faced tough competition, garnering 52,956 votes in comparison. The INC candidate”s victory not only highlights the shifting political dynamics in the constituency but also signals a significant change in the representation of the people.
The other prominent figure in the race was Smt. Bodiga Shobha from the BJP, accompanied by a diverse array of independent candidates. Choppadandi, nestled among the 13 constituencies in Karimnagar district and integral to the Karimnagar Lok Sabha constituency, holds a unique position as a reserved SC constituency within the expansive canvas of the Telangana Legislative Assembly.
