Actor Vishal Collapses On Stage During Live Event; Team Issues Health Update (Image-X/VishalKOfficial)

Tamil actor Vishal recently suffered a health scare on Sunday, May 10, when he suddenly collapsed on stage during a public event in Villupuram, Tamil Nadu. He was immediately rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment and is reportedly stable now. This unexpected turn of events has raised concerns among his fans.

Vishal attended the Miss Koovagam Transgender Beauty Contest 2025 in Villupuram on Sunday. The actor graced the event as a chief guest, which was organised for the transgender community as a part of the Tamil month festival.

While the celebrations were going on, he lost consciousness and fainted on the stage.  The event organisers and fans provided instant first aid, and he regained consciousness. Former minister K. Ponmudi, who also attended the event, assured Vishal’s transfer to the hospital in Chennai for medical treatment.

A video of the actor collapsing on stage also went viral on the internet, with many expecting an update.

As per reports, Vishal’s manager, Hari, has revealed that the actor had not consumed food on Sunday afternoon but had taken only juice. Since he skipped his meal, his energy levels dropped, which eventually made him faint.

The official statement released by the actor’s team also clarified that he was out of danger and in good health. They stated that there is no cause for concern, and the medical team has confirmed that the actor is in good health. It also revealed that Vishal was advised to maintain regular meal timings. The actor’s team also assured that he is currently doing well and recovering with rest.

Vishal suffered viral fever in January 2025

This is not the first time fans have expressed concerns over Vishal. In January 2025, during the promotion of his film Madha Gaja Raja, the actor was seen trembling due to an illness. A video of the actor shivering while addressing the media with visible changes in his physique left fans worried.

He later clarified that he had attended the event due to professional commitments despite suffering a viral fever. He also needed assistance to walk and was seen with shaky hands during his speech.

Dismissing rumors claiming he wouldn’t be able to work for several months, Vishal reassured his fans, explaining that he had only suffered from a common fever and had fully recovered.

On the work front, Vishal was last seen in Madha Gaja Raja, released on January 12, 2025, during the Pongal festival. The film defied expectations, proving that different genres could succeed at the box office. It grossed Rs 56 crore worldwide, with Rs 53.50 crore coming from Tamil Nadu and Rs 2.50 crore from international markets.
