Amitabh Bachchan To Play Dasharath In Ranbir Kapoor's Ramayan?
Nitesh Tiwari’s highly anticipated Movie Ramayan will have Amitabh Bachchan as Dashrath, said the latest report on the development of the movie. The movie will have Ranbir Kapoor as Rama. The Rs 350 crore project will have Sai Pallavi as Sita and Kannada superstar Yash as Ravana. However, no official confirmation regarding Amitab Bachchan’s role in film is made yet.
This is not the first time “Big-B” was offered to portray Dasharath in silver screen. In 2009, the Legend of Rama, Amitab Bachchan was offered the role of Dasharath. The Legend of Rama was written by Sanjay Khan and Farukh Dhondi. Hrithik Roshan played the role pf Ram and former brother-in-law of the star Zayed Khan played Laxman. But the movie never happened.
The maker of Dangal is assembling a huge star cast in the movie, which fans hopes to be a feast to the eyes, and if Bachchan is to be casted as Dasharath. The film is said to start at the end of 2024.
Amitab Bachchan will be next seen in a sci-fi action thriller film named Kalki 2898 AD along with Deepika Padukone and Prabhas. The film is slated to hit the silver screen on May 9. It also has Kamal Hassan and Disha Pathani in lead roles. Another film that is in pipeline is a courtroom drama, Section 84. It is helmed by Ribhu Dasgupta. It also have Diana Penty, Nimrat Kaur and Abhishek Banerjee in lead roles.
