Dhanush To Star Alongside Robert Downey Jr In 'Avengers Doomsday'?
Out of the blue, a crazy concept has been roaming around the internet over actor Dhanush to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Fans have been speculating, hoping for the actor’s second collaboration with the Russo Brothers.
The MCU has stormed with the comeback of Robert Downey Jr, a grand return as the infamous Doctor Doom. Adding fuel to the excitement, the Indian fans are buzzing with anticipation with the hopes that Dhanush might land another pivotal role but this time in Avengers: Doomsday.

To clarify the mist, there is no official announcement about this concept, and neither the Russo Brothers nor Dhanush have spilled the tea over their collaboration. It is just the pure imagination of the fans who are aspiring to witness the collaboration on screen.
Dhanush made his first-ever international collaboration with the Russo Brothers in the 2022 release The Gray Man alongside Ryan Gosling, Ana de Armas and Chris Evans. Ever since his role as the mysterious Avik San, fans have been excited to see him in more international projects and his next giant step in Hollywood.
Coming back to Robert Downey Jr’s return to the MCU, the actor will play the iconic character of Dr Doom in Avengers: Doomsday. Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige and RDJ confirmed the surprising news at San Diego Comic-Con 2024. RDJ went to Hall H at the SDCC and unveiled himself as the Fantastic Four villain on stage, thwarting all expectations and theories of fans out the window.

This exciting moment took place when Anthony Russo announced that if they are going to do this, then they were going to need the greatest actor in the world and added that the one person who could play Victor von Doom would be RDJ. Followed by this, RDJ took centre stage and unveiled himself as Doctor Doom.
RDJ was seen sporting the iconic green Doctor Doom robe and a metal mask. He took off the mask to announce his return, leaving fans in the room screaming. The actor declared that New mask, same task, as he confirmed his MCU comeback.
As per the reports, Avengers: Doomsday is slated for the 2025 release. RDJ and the Russo Brothers have previously teamed up for Captain America: Civil War (2016), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), and Avengers: Endgame (2019).
