“Ranbir Kapoor Will Do A Good Job”: Cricketer Dinesh Karthik On Virat Kohli's Biopic

On the topic of biopics produced about prominent Indian sports personalities such as MS Dhoni, and Mary Kom, creating impact and motivation among the audience, Indian cricketer Dinesh Karthik dropped an interesting suggestion on choosing the best actor to portray cricketer Virat Kohli in a potential biopic.

Recently, Kartik Aryan starred in the sports biopic Chandu Champion, which depicts the life and challenges of Murlikant Petkar, India’s first Paralympic gold medalist. On this topic, Dinesh Karthik, who recently appeared in a Cricbuzz video, suggested an actor to portray the legendary Kohli if a biopic is ever made on him. The cricketer, while discussing India’s upcoming Super 8 campaign at the T20 World Cup, shared his thoughts on the biopics of some of his teammates.

When asked which actor would best portray Kohli in a biopic, Karthik suggested Ranbir Kapoor. He expressed his confidence in Kapoor’s ability to capture Kohli’s playing style, despite never having seen him play cricket. “Ranbir Kapoor will do a good job,” he said.

For Shikhar Dhawan, Karthik believes Akshay Kumar would be the perfect choice, citing their strong connection and predicting that Kumar would bring a lot of fun to the role. Regarding Suryakumar Yadav, he recommended Paresh Rawal or Suniel Shetty, pointing to their comic timing as a good fit for Yadav’s personality.
