Tom Homan reacted to Selena Gomez’s breakdown, saying that the president’s administration has “no apologies” for the ICE raids targeting illegal migrants in the US. President Donald Trump‘s massive immigration crackdown has been sending shockwaves across the world. As the world expressed its concerns over the massive breakdown, pop icon Selena Gomez shared an emotional video reacting to the latest crackdown before deleting the post.
When asked about the pop star’s reaction, Homan, the border czar, denied the alleged attacks Gomez referred to and clarified that Immigration Customs and Enforcement is only targeting illegal migrants with prior criminal history.
“If they don’t like it, then go to Congress and change the law. We’re going to do this operation without apology,” Homan told Fox News.
About the massive immigration crackdown, the border czar said that the government was going to make the community safer, and it was all for the good of the nation. “And we’re going to keep going. No apologies. We’re moving forward,” Homan added while addressing the issue.
Homan further said he does not think that any families were arrested. As per the reports, ICE has made as many as 286 arrests on Saturday, January 24, and 956 on Sunday, January 26. Homan recently also said deportations will be carried out every day, adding that people who are in the US illegally are “on the table” for deportation.
Since being sworn in as the 47th US President, Trump announced a series of immigration-related executive orders, especially those on the deportation of illegal immigrants, aimed at sealing the US-Mexico border.
In the now-deleted video posted on Instagram, the Mexican-American singer was seen crying while expressing her concerns over the reformed immigration laws, which led to a massive arrest and deportation.

As this law seemingly affects a large number of Mexicans, Selena shared, “All my people are getting attacked, the children. I don’t understand. I’m so sorry, I wish I could do something, but I can’t. I don’t know what to do. I’ll try everything, I promise.” The actor-singer also added a Mexican flag to her post to express her solidarity.
However, Selena deleted the video after she was trolled over her comments. Following the video, she shared another message on her Instagram Story, “Apparently it’s not ok to show empathy for people,” seemingly addressing the backlash she received for speaking out.
