Rajanikanth Responds To Rumours Of Rivalry With Vijay, Calls Himself A "Well Wisher"

Rajanikanth has cleared the rumour about the rivalry between him and Thalapathi Vijay. While attending the audio launch of Lal Salaam in Chennai, Rajanikanth called himself as well wisher of Vijay. He said he was sad to hear the rumour about the competition between the two.

A couple of the months back, during the audio launch of his movie Jailer, Rajanikanth narrated story of an eagle and a crow. Soon after his narration, the statement went viral, as netizens took it as a jibe at Vijay. He narrated the story that, “even though the eagle flies high, it remains calm. But the crow isn’t like that, as it will keep cawing to irritate the eagle, which will ignore it and fly even higher. However the crow tries, it can never fly as high as the eagle”.

During the audio launch of the Lal Salaam, Rajanikanth Sid that haters are spreading rumours by saying that it was against Vijay. He said that he feels so sad about the rumours. He said, “Vijay had said that he is his competition, and I have also stated the same”.

The ‘Thalaiva’ further requested their fans to stop comparing them which was disrespectful. He recalled an incident of his meet up with Vijay and said that, “During the shoot of Dharmathin Thalaivan, SA Chandrasekhar had introduced Vijay, who was just 13 or 14 years old then, to me and told that his son was interested in acting, and wanted me to advise him to focus on studies and think about acting later”.

At the same time, Talapathy Vijay was also seen narrating the story about lion, tiger, cow, deer, and eagle, at the success meet of Leo, which was again alleged to be a comeback to Rajanikanth’s story.
