Sai Pallavi Stars As 'Indhu' In Sivakarthikeyan's 'Amaran'

As the makers of Amaran set the aisle for its Diwali release, the team dropped actress Sai Pallavi’s look in the Sivakarthikeyan‘s upcoming biographical film following the life of martyred Major Mukund Varadarajan.

Essaying the role of the bereaved wife of Major Mukund, the actress promised the audience to transcend the emotional pages of the upcoming biographical drama directed by Rajkumar Periasamy. Introducing Sai Pallavi from the world of Amaran, the makers dropped a glimpse of her character ‘Indhu Rebecca Varghese’.

Tuning the audience to the heartwarming pages of Amaran, the makers wrote, “Cupid strikes Amaran… Sai Pallavi as Indhu Rebecca Varghese, the Heart of Amaran.”

The beauty of the character intro teaser is that it introduces the wife of Major Mukund and then in a flash cut, switches to the portrayed scene of Sai Pallavi. Exploring the different phases of the characters life and the honour, the intro teaser depicts the actress. This biographical drama will be hitting the theatres on October 31.

For the unversed, Major Mukund Varadarajan attained martyrdom following his brave actions during a counter-terrorism operation in Jammu and Kashmir. He was posthumously awarded the Ashoka Chakra received by his wife from former President of India, Pranab Mukherjee, on January 26, 2015.

Amaran is inspired by the life of late Indian soldier Mukund Varadarajan. The film aims to shed light on the life and bravery of the hero from Tamil Nadu who sacrificed his life for the nation. Sivakarthikeyan, known for his diverse roles, takes on the challenging role of Major Mukund Varadarajan. To portray the character authentically, he underwent rigorous training to achieve the look and demeanor of an Indian soldier. The film will delve into untold stories about the soldier’s life and legacy.
