Safe, Accurate, Time-Efficient: All About India's First Govt-Run AI Clinic At GIMS Greater Noida

Noida, Uttar Pradesh: Additional Director General of Health Services, India recently  inaugurated the country’s first government hospital-based Artificial Intelligence (AI) clinic at the Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS) in Greater Noida. The inauguration was held online, opening the facility for the healthcare sector.

Established under the GIMS Centre for Medical Innovation, the clinic aims at providing AI-based healthcare facilities directly to doctors and patients in government hospitals, which is expected to enhance patient safety, reduce treatment time, and lead to more accurate medical decisions.

The imitative will also provide AI-based healthcare startups with the opportunity to develop, test, and validate their solutions in a real-world clinical environment. With the technology-driven facility being introduced, the country’s healthcare system has witnessed historic change, enabling patients  receive better treatment with the help of advanced tools.

According to GIMS Director, Professor and Pediatrician, Brigadier (Dr.) Rakesh Kumar Gupta, the initiative will provide new opportunities and access for healthcare startups, while calling it the need of the hour, ensuring innovation reaches patients and clinicians directly

The online inauguration witnessed over 100 experts from India and other countries participating, including of doctors, researchers, policymakers, and academicians.
