AAP Comes Out In Support Of Congress Over ‘Himanta Corrupt’

AAP came out in support of senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi calling Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma as the “most corrupt CM in the country.”

Reacting to Rahul Gandhi”s statements, AAP Chief National Spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar told ANI: “It is not a hidden thing. Himanta Biswa Sarma, Suvendu Adhikari and Chhagan Bhujbal, these are those leaders who got cleaned by washing machine.” The washing machine reference pointing at the BJP by the opposition was meant to allude that political leaders tainted by corruption charges were washed “white” once they joined the BJP.

Priyanka Kakkar added that Home Minister Amit Shah used to say that Himanta Biswa Sarma was the most corrupt Chief Minister, and BJP had printed a whole booklet against him. But when he left Congress and joined BJP, “all the cases against him were dropped,” she said. This is BJP”s “modus operandi”, AAP spokesperson added.

It was while addressing one of the rallies as part of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra on Wednesday, Congress MP attacked Assam CM in strong words.

“The chief minister of Assam spreads hate all the time and takes away your lands. He is the most corrupt CM in India,” Times of India reports as Rahul Gandhi is saying.

He then added that file as many cases Assam Chief Minister against him, he is not afraid. “I am not scared of BJP or RSS,” Rahul Gandhi added. Congress leader”s attack against Himanta Biswa Sarma came as First Information Report (FIR) has been filed against him and other Congress leaders by the Guwahati City Police for “wanton acts of violence, provocation , damage to public property and assault on police personnel”.
