After X Account Ban, Cockroach Janta Party Founder Abhijeet Dipke Says His Instagram Was 'Hacked'

As the Gen-Z fervor goes on against the chief justice of India’s remark likening the youth to the cockroach and massively supporting the satirical Cockroach Janta Party, founder Abhijeet Dipke has alleged that his Instagram account has been hacked.

The hacking claim comes day after the government reportedly withheld the Cockroach Janta Party’s official X handle citing security concerns. However, the  Cockroach Janta Party has turned out to be a national sensation among the Gen-Z, amassing over 21 million followers on Instagram, pushing behind the mainstream political parties, including the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the opposition Indian National Congress (INC).

The  Cockroach Janta Party, its name a satirical riff on the incumbent Bharatiya Janata Party. The symbol of the spiny, long-legged, and often reviled cockroach has become the country’s Gen-Z’s sharp protest against the ruling dispensation in India.

Dipke requested the public not to consider any posts by the party as “official” over its social media handles, given they are currently inaccessible to them. ‘Please note that we currently do not have access to any of our platforms. Any post made after this should not be considered an official statement from the Cockroach Janta Party,’ Dipke wrote.
