'Complain Wherever, Nothing Will Happen To Me': BJP Councilor's Husband Threatens Rape Survivor
Satna, Madhya Pradesh: A man, identified as Ashok Singh, the husband of a BJP councilor in the Rampur Baghelan Nagar Parishad in Madhya Pradesh’s Satna district, has allegedly rapped a woman at knifepoint, and captured a video of the same. The accused man later started threatening the victim with the video to force her into repeated sexual acts.
A video which went viral on social media shows the BJP leader threatening the victim. When the victim confronted him on camera, saying she would post the video of their interaction on social media, the man could be heard saying brazenly that nothing would happen to him.

In the footage, while the woman can be heard talking about filing a complaint, the accused man allegedly said, “What will happen to me? Nothing will happen. Complain wherever you want, nothing will happen to me.

The victim has submitted a written complaint to Satna Superintendent of Police (SP) Hansraj Singh. The crime allegedly took place about six months ago. The woman had remained silent due to threats to her life and family.
The accused man allegedly entered the victim’s house, raped her at knifepoint, recorded the act on his mobile phone, and threatened to kill her and her family if she spoke about the incident, NDTV reported. The man again approached her and raped her, and renewed his threats, demanding that she comply with what he wanted or face public humiliation through the video.
The victim also claimed that Singh regularly comes to her shop, abuses her verbally, and repeats his threats, creating an atmosphere of fear and harassment. Despite complaints, police have not taken any concrete action against the accused man so far, she says.
With the release of the video, police are verifying its authenticity, and there have been no arrests made so far.
