Cylinder Can Now Be Booked Only After 35 Days As New Rule For LPG Booking Comes Into Effect

New Delhi: The mandatory waiting period for households to book a standard 14.2 kg cylinder has been revised as per the new LPG booking rule. The households with two-cylinder connections should take 35 days to book another cylinder as per the new rule. Earlier, the booking period was only 25 days.

The new rule reflects the shortage of gas amid the rising supply disruptions across the world after the US and Israel launched attacks against Iran. Under the new rule, even if the gas in the homes runs out, the law does not permit household to make a fresh booking until 35 days.

The commercial gas supply has been already halted due to the shortage. Prime Minister Modi has asked people to prepare for Covid-19 like situation.
