Hyderabad Police Bust LPG Black Market Racket In Graveyard Hideout
Hyderabad’s task force and Ban jara Hills police have busted an LPG black market racket in a graveyard hideout. The candlers were stored at the Ban jara Hills graveyard.
The police arrested ten people, including kingpin Mohammed Aamir, a gas agency staff member and seized 414 cylinders worth Rs 21.88 lake from the graveyard. Aamir allegedly diverted legitimate commercial and domestic supplies, hoarding them to sell at inflated prices amid recent shortages.

The unusual storage spot helped them dodge detection, but the bust is part of a broader crackdown with over 400 cases registered citywide to protect households from price hikes.
Police acted on credible information and raided a location near a graveyard at Nagarjuna X Road in Banjara Hills on Sunday, and the accused were caught red-handed allegedly dumping cylinders and selling them at higher rates.

The accused were exploiting the high demand for commercial LPG, diverting the supply and selling them on black market at higher rates. Officials seized items including commercial and domestic LPG cylinders (both full and empty). Vehicles such as DCM vans, Bolero, Tata Ace, Tata Intra, and multiple auto-rickshaws used for transportation during the raid.
