A viral video of the BJP leader Deepak Thakur reportedly assaulting a young man has gone viral on social media. The shocking incident has been reported to have taken place in the state capital Bhopal of Madhya Pradesh.
In the viral video, Deepak is seen brutally assaulting a young man named Gaurav Mishra at gunpoint. Along with the BJP leader, other goons were also present while brutally attacking the young man.

The aides alongside cheered him to continue the act. When the victim tried to shield himself using his hands, the miscreants were seem shouting “Hath Hata” (Move your hand).
The victim was also asked to kneel before the BJP leader and touch his feet.
Amidst the assault, the victim was asked about his name. Frightened, he replies, “Gaurav”. When miscreants shouted at him and asked him to say his full name, he then disclosed his name as “Gaurav Mishra”.

As per the NDTV report, no FIR has been filed against the perpetrators yet even after filing a complaint. The victim has accused the police had refusing to file an FIR. The reason behind the assault was not known.
However, the recent incident has raised serious concern about the enforcement’s response to such grave allegations. The situation also highlights ongoing issues related to political influence and the challenges victims face when seeking justice in such circumstances.

The accused Deepak Thakur had held the post of BJP Mandal Vice President. While talking to NDTV regarding the incident, the BJP officials said that he had been removed from the post due to his criminal record.
