Madhya Pradesh: Mohan Yadav Orders Ban On Selling Of Meat And Eggs After Taking Charge As CM

Marking the end of Shivraj Singh Chouhan era, Mohan Yadav sworn in as Madhya Pradesh’s 19th Chief Minister on Wednesday. He was the former Higher education minister and Ujjain MLA for three times. Hours after the taking charge, the newly elected Chief Minister of the Madhya Pradesh has declared a ban on loudspeakers at religious gatherings and public places higher than the prescribed limits

Another order was to ban meat and egg. He said, “after the food safety rules, operation of meat and egg shops will be” exposed to enforcement of guidelines to ensure public awareness. Shop owners will be educated about the rules to ensure the safety of the public. The new government of Madhya Pradesh decided to launch an “intensive campaign” and to “ban illegal buying and selling of meat, fish, etc. in the open without license”.

Another decision taken by the government is that, “the government will welcome all Ram devotees in every district, who are enroute to Ram mandir. He said there were times when “kar sevaks were subjected to atrocities at the UP border during the Ram mandir andolan”.

Mohan Yadav government will also look into cancellation of bails granted by the courts for serious crimes and habitual criminals. The move will be according to the provisions of Section 437, 438, 439 of CrPC. The Superintendent of police and District Prosecution Officer will be reviewing every month the action taken against everyone who commit crimes after granted bail.

He said, in every district of Madhya Pradesh, the government will establish PM excellence colleges and “all kinds of courses” as per the New Education Policy (NEP) will be provided. For the digitisation of mark sheets of students in government and private collages, the government will also introduce Digi Locker. As promised during the poll campaign to aim at the tribal community, the new government has also hiked the price of tendu leaf bag to Rs. 3000.
