Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has rebutted the recent allegation regarding his statement in the winter session of the assembly by claiming that it was a “misinformation campaign” launched by the BJP leaders and supporters. In a social media post put forward by BRS Working President KT Rama Rao, who questioned if the future of Telangana would witness the same fate as the situation of unkept promises happening in Karnataka, Siddaramaiah responded that he need to verify what is fake and edited videos, and “what is truth.” In the circulated video, Chief Minister is seen stating in the video that it is unable to fulfil election promises.
Adding further he said, “BJP creates fake edited videos, and your party circulates them. Yours is a perfect B Team of BJP.”
Mr. @KTRBRS, Do you know why your party lost in the Telangana Elections?
Because you don”t even know how to verify what is fake and edited, and what is truth. @BJP4India creates fake edited videos, and your party circulates them. Yours is a perfect B Team of BJP.

Besides, Karnataka Chief Minister has attached a detailed statement extending concern over the spreading of “misleading information” about him. He wrote on on X: “. . . certain BJP leaders like Ashwath Narayan, CT Ravi, and others have engaged in spreading misleading information about me. The deceptive tactic involves circulating an edited video that distorts my statements, falsely implying an admission of the Congress”s inability to fulfill promises made in 2023.”
He states that the original and unedited video carrying remarks in the assembly, is placing Yediyurappa, previous Chief Minister of Karnataka and the then ruling party BJP accountable for its failure to fulfill promises it made in 2018 manifesto, specifically the loan waiver promise. “Yediyurappa had acknowledged that it was not possible for the BJP to fulfill promises made during elections. The reality is that the BJP did not fulfill promises made in 2008 or in 2018. They did not fulfill more than 90% of their promises made in 2018. This highlights their lack of commitment to their words. They are betrayers and cheaters.”

On the other hand, Siddaramaiah claimed that Congress party in power has delivered what they have promised. He cited that they have promised 158 of the 165 promises made in 2013, and have fulfilled all the guarantee schemes within the first week of government formation and is in the way of fulfilling other promises mentioned in the manifesto as well. “We are committed to our promises,” he said.
Chief Minister then requested the public to critically examine the authenticity of information and to reject such attempt to mislead them via distorted video. In the post, he also claimed that the BJP is known to spreading fake news, therefore its full form should have been “Bogale Janata Party.” It is now evident that BJP”s entire machinery works to spread fake news, he added.
