"We Are Not Scared": Abhijeet Dipke Alleges RSS Link In Jaipur Attack, Vows Delhi March
Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke has alleged that some of the people who attacked him during a protest in Jaipur were linked to the RSS and said the incident would not stop his movement against the alleged NEET-UG paper leak.
Speaking to reporters in Nagpur on Tuesday, a day after the attack, Dipke said he and his supporters were not afraid and would continue their protests peacefully.
“We are satyagrahis who follow Gandhi and Ambedkar. We are not scared of their attacks,” Dipke said. He alleged that some of the attackers belonged to the RSS and claimed that such incidents occur whenever people raise their voices against the government or its ideology.
The attack took place during a CJP protest at Jaipur’s Shaheed Smarak on Monday. The demonstration focused on the alleged NEET paper leak, problems in the education system and rising unemployment.
According to police and eyewitnesses, Dipke was being carried on the shoulders of supporters when a group of youths allegedly assaulted him, leading to a brief scuffle. Police later intervened and brought the situation under control.
Five people have been arrested in connection with the incident. The accused have been identified as Rohit Sharma, Rakesh Gurjar, Ajay Sharma, Kuldip Singh and Niket. An investigation is currently underway.
Dipke said the attack was an attempt to divert attention from the issues being raised by students.
“Our main issue is that more than one crore students have suffered injustice. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan must take responsibility for it,” he said.
The CJP has been demanding Pradhan’s resignation over the alleged NEET-UG paper leak controversy and examination irregularities.
Following the attack, Dipke posted on social media that physical violence reflected “fear and cowardice” and vowed to continue the movement through democratic means.
CJP spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka also alleged that the attack was politically motivated and claimed that some of the accused had links to the BJP. However, these claims have not been independently verified.
Despite the incident, the party has decided to continue its nationwide campaign. Dipke announced that CJP will hold a march to Delhi on June 20 as part of its ongoing ‘Justice’ campaign seeking accountability over the alleged examination scam and issues related to youth employment.
Police have made extensive security arrangements for the protest in Nagpur, where more than 2,000 people are expected to participate.
