Woman Crushed To Death Trapped Between Two Elephants Fighting During Routine Bathing In Kodagu

Kodagu, Karnataka: During a routine bathing session at Karnataka’s famous Dubare elephant camp, a woman tourist from Tamil Nadu was crushed to death after getting trapped between two elephants fighting each other. The incident  took place in Karnataka’s Kodagu district, where tourists had gathered near the river to watch the elephants being bathed.

The tragedy happened when a sudden fight broke out as one elephant allegedly attacked the other with its tusk, causing the animal to lose balance and collapse. Jinshu, who was standing nearby in the river with her family, became trapped beneath the fallen elephant. She sustained severe head injuries and was rushed to Kushalnagar hospital, where doctors declared her dead.

Eyewitnesses said panic spread quickly among tourists as the elephants turned aggressive. While mahouts tried desperately to control the animals, bystanders also attempted to rescue the woman. Other tourists fled the scene to safety. Jinshu’s husband reportedly managed to save their child during the chaos.
