India”s largest public sector bank SBI (State Bank of India) is hiring clerical staffs. According to the notification issued by SBI, the bank is indented to fill nearly 8,773 vacancies across the country through the SBI Clerk Exam 2024.
Application Date
The application process is on, and aspiring candidates can apply through SBI website. The last date for submitting the application has been fixed on December 7.
Eligibility
Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government are eligible to apply for the Clerk Exam 2024.Candidates with an integrated dual degree (IDD) certificate must ensure that they have completed the IDD on or before December 31, 2023
Age Limit
As of April 1, 2024, candidates who are above 20 years and below 28 years of age can apply for the exam. In other words, candidates must have been born between April 2, 1995, and April 1, 2003 (inclusive of both dates).
Exam Pattern:
Exam will be conducted in two phases, Preliminary & Main exam) and a test of the specified local language. The Online Preliminary Exam, which will be Online Preliminary Exam, which will be conducted online, comprises Objective Tests for 100 marks. The duration of the test will be 1 hour. There will be three sections in the preliminary exam. A negative mark of 1/4th of the assigned mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer. No minimum qualifying marks for individual tests or the aggregate score have not been fixed and section-wise marks will not be maintained.
How to Apply
A dedicated portal for the SBI Clerk Exam 2024 is available on the official State Bank of India (SBI) website.
By clicking the registration link, candidates can provide their name, contact information, and email address.
Candidates can log in with their generated credentials and fill out the application form. Personal details, academic qualifications, and other necessary information should be provided according to the guidelines.
Candidates must also upload scanned copies of their photograph, signature, and other documents specified in the application form.
Various payment options are available, such as net banking, UPI, credit card, or debit card.
Upon successful payment, candidates can submit the application form and save or print the page for future reference.
Salary Structure
According to the SBI Clerk Notification 2023, the basic salary for a clerical staff is Rs. 19,900/- (Rs. 17,900/- + two advance increments for graduates).
In a metropolitan city like Mumbai, the salary will be approximately Rs. 37,000/- per month, including D.A., other allowances at the existing rate, and two further increments for newly hired graduate junior associates.
SBI clerks will be eligible for reimbursement of various perquisites, provident fund, pension under the New Pension Scheme (Defined Contribution Benefit), medical benefits, leave of absence, and other benefits, as per bank instructions issued from time to time.
