SSC Issues Advisory On Photo And Signature Upload To Avoid Application Rejections

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) releases an advisory for the candidates regarding the correct procedure for uploading photographs and signatures while applying for various posts. The recently released guidelines will help candidates avoid application rejections caused by common mistakes during the form filling.

The SSC guidelines for photos and signature upload for the application process are available on the official website – ssc.gov.in. The notice exemplifies both the correct and incorrect procedure for the candidate’s guidance. Candidates are advised to follow the given guidelines carefully to fill out the application.

The commission has outlined several reasons behind the rejection of the application form due to the photograph including the presence of a non-plain background, insufficient brightness, blurred images, wearing caps in the photo and taking the photo without a shirt, etc.

Regarding the signature the SSC said that the major reason for the rejection is ‘miniature signatures’. Candidates must cut the box given in the notice and sign within the box so that signature occupies at least 80 percent of the given space.
