
Kozhikode Welcomes Historian Manu S Pillai for Captivating Conversation at HiLite Today
Kozhikode, Kerala: Streets of Calicut is hosting author and historian Manu S Pillai on Friday, August 29 at HiLite Business Park in Kozhikode. The live conversation will take place at 7 pm in the Amphitheatre, moderated by Kaikasi V S, Assistant Professor of English at Govt. Arts & Science College, Mankada, Malappuram
Manu S Pillai, whose debut book, The Ivory Throne, won the Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar, is known for his works covering the history of India from late medieval through colonial times.

The event, themed ‘History is not just about the past — it is about who we are, and who we are becoming’ is expected to provide meaningful insights into the diverse spheres of topic.
His second work, Rebel Sultans, told the story of the late medieval Deccan over four centuries, and Pillai’s ‘The Courtesan, the Mahatma and the Italian Brahmin’ is a collection released in 2019 consisting of historical anecdotes.
