Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan slammed union minister and BJP leader Rajeev Chandrasekhar for his remark on social media regarding the recent blast in Kerala. The Union Minister commented that the blast was part of Chief Minister’s communal stand. In the blast tragedy, three people including a 12-year-old were killed and several were injured.
Without naming the union minister in a press conference, Pinarayi asked how the minister could make such a remark on the incident when the investigation is still going on.
“One of the Union Ministers made a statement that I am engaging in appeasement politics and protesting against Israel,” he added.
During the press meet which was held at the Secretariat complex, the Chief Minister read out both the English and Malayalam version of Rajeev Chandrasekhar’s post.
“Those who are poisonous will keep spitting poison,” chief minister lashed out at the union minister.
Soon after the blast, the union minister wrote on X, slammed the Kerala chief minister for doing ‘appeasement politics. He tried to spread hate speech by connecting the blast with the ongoing conflict in Middle East. He then referred to the protest against Israel in which Pinarayi took part in Delhi and said that he is sitting in Delhi and protesting against Israel while, when in Kerala open calls by terrorist Hamas for Jihad causing attacks and bomb blasts on innocent Christians.

While noting the statement made by union minister, the chief minister warned the citizens to not fall prey for such fake news and he also assured that whoever be the accused, they will be brought before the law to ensure maximum punishment, reports NDTV.
The blast took place at an international convention center in Kalamassery, where hundreds of followers of the minority Christian group Jehovah’s Witnesses has assembled on the concluding day of a three-day-long prayer meeting.
