Kasaragod Woman, Accused Of Gold Theft By Husband And In-Law, Ends Life Due To Emotional Distress
Kasaragod, Kerala: A woman, identified as Jaseela has allegedly died by suicide after emotional turmoil following the accusations of gold theft leveled against her by her husband and mother-in-law in Kasaragod. The woman reportedly consumed poison before making a video claiming that she had been falsely accused of stealing gold ornaments belonging to her neighbor. Jaseela died while undergoing treatment in hospital in Alambadi.
The woman alleged that the accusations by the husband, his family, the nighbours and even the police had caused extreme emotional distress to her.

She also alleged that her nighbours also spread rumour about her claiming that she took room in Kozhikode with other men, and that her complaint was also not accepted properly in the police station.
