Mahindra Group chairman Anand Mahindra, who is known for his witty and interesting tweets on X, has now shared a new video of the making of fresh mouth-watering jalebis.

The video shared by Anand Mahindra shows a local food seller from Faisalabad making fresh jalebis using new modern techniques. The machine is connected to a pipe which is inserted into a container consisting of batter.

The batter then falls into the cauldron of hot oil forming a caricatured pattern. With the help of the machine, the food seller easily makes jalebis on a large scale.

Expressing his thoughts on the video, he wrote on X, “I’m a tech buff. But I confess that seeing jalebis being made using a 3D printer nozzle left me with mixed feelings. They’re my favourite & seeing the batter squeezed out by hand is, to me, an art form. I guess I’m more old-fashioned than I thought…”.

Jalebi is a popular sweet in South Asia. It is usually made by deep-frying maida flour and then later soaked in sugar syrup.

Commenting on the video, many users shared the same view as that of him. One of the users wrote, sharing the video of the donut using the latest technology, “Donuts made by machines. Its a good sight to watch them cooking, but I miss the human touch to it. What do you think?” Another wrote, “There”s something inherently satisfying about witnessing the meticulous handwork and expertise that goes into making jalebis. Tech is not for everything, sometimes it removes the authenticity of the process! The same goes for roti makers!”

Earlier in 2020, Anand Mahindra shared his love for this South Asia desert. He said that one could find the best delicious jalebis in the culinary capital of Punjab. The Businessman is known for his love for food from various cuisines. He often talks and shares insights about food on his X account.
