A signboard on the Karnataka highway has caught the eye of many and is now going viral on social media. An emergency signboard installed on the highway near Kodagu district of Karnataka caught the attention due to its mistranslation from Kannada to English.
A user shared the image of the signboard on social media which read, “Urgent make an accident”. The signboard is a poor translation of the Kannada phrase “Avasarave Apaghatakke Karane”. The literal translation of the sentence is “Overspeeding is the reason for accidents”.

However, the authenticity of the viral image has not been verified yet.
The mistranslation has left the internet divided with many questioning the government’s effort in translating the signboard into English while others found it amusing.
A user wrote, “For a change English gone wrong .. Glad Kannada is fine”.
While another commented, “Bro used chatgpt even for this”. Another one wrote, “Kannada matters not English”.
Jokingly one user wrote, “one comma after urgent and the meaning will completely change”.
“Better tag insurance agents. They will get its fixed fast,” another added.
Recently a picture of the signboard requesting the travellers to take an alternative route to reach the Club Mahindra resort and urging users not to follow the Google directions has gone viral.

The signboard read, “Google is wrong. This road does not go to Club Mahindra”. The signboard was put up by the local villagers who got tired of the travelers asking for directions when they were misled by Google Maps.
