India continues its medal hunt in the Asian Games and confirmed a century. With the gold in women’s kabaddi the country hit the number 100 on the medal chart.

India’s men’s hockey team defeated the Asian champions Japan by 5-1 and won their fourth gold at Asiad on Friday. The historic gold booked the team a ticket to the Paris Olympics.

Indian badminton pair Satwiksairaj Rankireddy-Chirag Shetty secured the first-ever final for India in men’s doubles at the Asiad. They beat Malaysia”s Teng Fong Aaron Chia and Wooi Yik Soh by 21-17, 21-12 in the semifinal. The country is having its best-ever performances in Asiad history and claimed as many as 9 medals on Day 13.

Indian women Sepaktakraw team bagged bronze and opened account on Friday. The country also secured another bronze in the archery recurve team event, the men’s team settled for silver.

In wrestling, India reserved three medals – all bronze – by Sonam Malik (62kg), Kiran Bishnoi (76kg), and Aman Sehrawat (57kg). While Naorem Roshibina Devi won silver in the women’s Wushu category, the men’s team in the Bridge event secured another silver medal.

Men’s cricket team reached the final by easily defeating Bangladesh by nine wickets. The team is captioned by Ruturaj Gaikwad and will confront Afghanistan in the final match on Saturday.

  6. Bronze – Wrestling freestyle 76kg (Kiran Bishnoi)
  7. Bronze – Wrestling Freestyle 57kg (Aman Sehrawat)
  8. Gold – Men”s Hockey team
  9. Silver – Men”s Bridge event

The country is currently in the fourth position on the medal standings.
