Earlier in July, Reuters reported that OpenAI was exclusively working onn a new project code-named Strawberry which will be rolled out in September. “Strawberry” will be a part of ChatGPT but with a stand-alone offering. However, it is not clear how the new project code is exactly distributed to the customers. The new code will not be image-based but text-based yet an enhanced one in the ChatGPT.

OpenAI has already rolled out its  GPT-40’s new voice mode feature exclusively for ChatGPT paid subscribers. It is now available to the Plus members. The launch of this voice mode was delayed due to its meticulous work to ensure safety meeting expectations. The paid subscribers can use the facility in alpha sans suffering response timing delay. GPT-4o intends to provide better and more advanced real-time conversations.

GPT-4o mini is known as the most cost-effective mini model and it supports text and vision in the API but aiding more efficiency to text is on its experiment. GPT-4o mini comes with a context window of 128K tokens which will hold around 16K output tokens on every single request. The company claims that the new model will meticulously and affordably handle the non-English language. Even though it is called ‘mini’ the company spotlighted its capacity to compete the small rivals as well as the larger model with its potentiality.
