The “high-income knowledge worker” agent will cost $2,000 a month to access and upcoming software developer agent likely to cost $10,000 a month.

However, OpenAI has not yet revealed about the launch of these products. The tech outlet reports that SoftBank, an OpenAI investor, has pledged to spend $3 billion on OpenAI’s agent products this year alone.

Meanwhile, in post on X, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman sought feedback on how to maximise users’ existing fees.

“An idea for paid plans: your $20 plus subscription converts to credits you can use across features like deep research, o1, gpt-4.5, sora, etc. no fixed limits per feature and you choose what you want; if you run out of credits you can buy more. what do you think? good/bad?,” Altman asked in the post.
