The health ministry said that a single attack in Ain al-Delb near southern Sidon killed over 32 people, including many displaced families who were taking shelter at the site.

While Israel claimed that it attacked Hezbollah targets, the Lebanese officials called the attacks a “massacre” of homes and buildings in the southern region of the country, the Bekaa, Baalbek-Hermel governorate, and southern Beirut, killing many civilians.

On Monday, several local media reports of an Israel air strike in the Kola bridge, Beirut’s heart, surfaced. Since the start of the hostilities last year, this is Israel’s first attack within the city limits.

The assault comes two days after Israel assassinated Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah in a series of air raids conducted in southern Beirut, the capital, which was once a safe haven from Israeli attack, flattening several buildings. The Israeli military also killed senior Hezbollah political leader Sheikh Nabil Kaouk on Sunday.
