Many car brands with renowned SUVs have lucrative sales in the buyer market like the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Grand Vitara, the Mahindra XUV700, Safari and Tata Harrier have also entered the dais with considerable cost cuts. The manufacturers are gearing up to pull off discount schemes swinging into action to grab the customers’ eyes even before the festival season.

More demand pops in with SUV models with rising inventories such as Tata Motors and M and M (Mahindra and Mahindra) combat each other in the price war to seek the favour of the customers. Apart from that Safari and Harrier had a massive price cut from Rs 50,000 to Rs 70,000 relatively the same but depending on the variants.

Recently  Mahindra dwindled 70,000 from the on-road price but as a temporary price reduction. The Mahindra XUV700 underwent a whopping price cut of RS 2 lakh in the market. The company intends to execute the business strategy which was discussed earlier in February at the analyst meeting, pondering on the average price point to attract more customers enhancing the driving scale, said Mahindra in a stock exchange filing as they anticipated to flourish in the current financial year.

On the other hand, the finance schemes and discounts haven’t been garnering expected outputs as Harrier and Safari confronted a back pull in these years, especially in 2024. Since the market is shifting towards high-end cars and hybrid models the entry levels cars like Alto K10, Celerio and Presso from Maruti are struggling, to curb the plight, the company unveiled a dream series line gathering around 21,000 bookings for the limited edition lineup with the entry models and other affordable cars in the price range of 4-5 lakhs.
