
CBSE Class 12 Geography Exam 2025 Analysis: "Most Questions Were Along Expected Lines," Says Expert
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) held the Class 12 Geography exam on Monday, Feb 24. The students who have appeared for the examination has found the paper moderate difficulty level. The experts stated that “an average student can easily attempt if he/she has thoroughly prepared from NCERT textbooks.”
Timeline spoke with Suja Mathew, PGT Geography, Army Public School, about the exam conducted today.

She observed that exam was not difficult for an average student, but some questions demanded higher order thinking skills. “Most questions were along expected lines, but there were few unexpected questions also, meant to test students conceptual understanding,” Mathew said.
Regarding any particular area being concentrated in the paper, Mathew said that there two unexpected questions; Q4. testing North South orientation, Q6. testing East West orientation. She denied the presence of any out of syllabus questions or controversial questions in the paper.
The Students found generally happy about the paper but found to be little disappointed with the tricky questions, expert said.

Continuing further, she said: “There was a map question based on trivial facts, which most students might have overlooked, and hence would reduce their chances of getting a perfect score.”
