In the Haryana assembly election 2024, Congress’ Raghubir Tewatia emerged victorious by a margin of 20,541 votes. 20,379 votes securing 70,262 total votes. The BJP candidate Tek Chand Sharma lost to him and has secured 49,721 votes as per the Election Commission of India. The independent candidate Nayanpal Rawat garnered 22,023 votes.
Talking about the 2019 Haryana Assembly elections, Nayan Pal Rawat who was an independent candidate won this seat defeating Raghubir Tewatia by a margin of 16,429. He secured a vote share of 43.95% in 2019 in this seat. Tek Chand Sharma who is now BJP, then BSP won this seat defeating Nayan Pal Rawat of BJP by a margin of 1,179 which gave BSP a vote share of 27.54% for this seat in the 2014 election.
