Kejriwal Running Away From Major Issues: Delhi BJP Chief

New Delhi: As Delhi elections are around the corner, the verbal duel between the AAP and BJP is getting escalated. Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva on Thursday slammed AAP national convener and former chief minister Arvind Kejriwal for running away from major issues.

“Arvind Kejriwal runs away from major issues. He never talks about dirty water, broken roads, and electricity issues being faced in Delhi. He will never talk about his scams…,” ANI quotes, as Sachdeva is saying.

A day before, BJP chief has also wrote a letter to former chief minister and urged Kejriwal to abstain from making false promises in the name of women, senior citizens, and children.

“It is the first day of 2025, we take some resolve on the day. I have written a letter to AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal. I have requested him to stop lying, his corruption, should not make wrong promises in the name of his children, not make wrong promises to women, senior citizens, apologise over the condition of Yamuna,” Sachdeva said.

BJP chief has also placed five resolutions he hoped AAP convener would adopt in the new year. He has accused Kejriwal for using religion as a political tool.

The party has constantly attacked Kejriwal’s governance, criticising him of failing to carry out notable promises especially women’s welfare schemes and environmental issues.

Meanwhile, AAP supremo on Wednesday wrote a letter to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat raising questions concerning the allegation of deletion of votes and money distribution by the BJP in Delhi. Kejriwal’s letter to the RSS chief came days after he has made serious allegation that the BJP was manipulating the voter lists in Delhi. Terming it as a part of ‘Operation Lotus’, Kejriwal on Sunday (December 29) alleged that the BJP has been tampering electoral rolls in his New Delhi assembly constituency since December 15.
