New Delhi: It seems Pushpa 2 fever is entering political terrains as well. Ahead of Delhi Assembly polls, ruling AAP and opposition BJP has issued posters inspiring from the Allu Arjun-starrer Telugu blockbuster.
In AAP’s recently released poster, Arvind Kejriwal poses as Pushpa, protagonist of the film, carrying the party’s symbol ‘jhaadu’ on his shoulder. The poster featured the slogan “Kejriwal Jhukega Nahi,” based on the iconic dialogue from the film. The poster also read “4th Term Coming Soon,” referring to AAP’s erstwhile consecutive wins in 2013, 2015 and 2020 in the Delhi assembly elections.

The poster carried the slogan “Bhrashtachariyon Ko Khatam Karenge” (We will finish the corrupt). The poster also read “Rappa-Rappa”, reproducing Pushpa’s dialogue in the movie.

The election for 70 assembly seats in Delhi is likely to held February next year. As AAP aims to retain power for the fourth time, the BJP is turning all stones to oust them from power. The BJP has been accusing the ruling party for corruption and mismanagement. Earlier, the BJP developed the slogan “Ab Nahi Sahenge, Badal Kar Rahenge” (won’t tolerate now, will bring the change), aiming to end the AAP rule. Meanwhile, the AAP focused on raising the issue of the law and order situation in the country and rising crime incidents to attack BJP-led Central government.
In the 2020 Assembly polls, AAP secured a massive victory, winning 62 out of 70 seats, while BJP won 8 seats. However, the Congress failed to secure any seats in the election.
