STR 49: Actress Kayadu Lohar Joins STR's Next With Director Ramkumar Balakrishnan (Image-X/DawnPicturesOff)
Actor Simbu’s upcoming project, STR 49 with director Ramkumar Balakrishnan, has been surprising the audience with its back-to-back updates. The film, firmly packed with prominent figures like STR as a lead and Sai Abhyankhar as a music composer, has now welcomed Dragon fame actress Kayadu Lohar on board as the female lead.
Sensational star STR is on track to entertain his fans with his back-to-back ventures with directors Ramkumar, Maniratnam (Thug Life) and Ashwath Marimuthu (STR 50). His upcoming film with the Parking fame director is what the fans of STR are waiting to witness on the big screen.

Days after the announcement of the project, Dawn Pictures, the production house backing the film, revealed the female lead of the film. As per the official announcement, the actress will be playing the lead alongside Simbu in the upcoming film.
Even though major updates on the cast, crew and plot of the film are still under wraps, the makers have hinted at the announcement of more updates. While welcoming Kayadu on board, the makers on X wrote, “More updates are on the way.”

Alongside Simbu and Kayadu Lohar, actor-comedian Santhanam is also expected to join the cast to bring back the classic friendship comedy vibe. The duo is known for their humor, especially around the portrayal of friendship in films including Manmadhan, Vallavan, and Vaalu, among others.
The young actress made her stunning Tamil debut in Ashwath Marimuthu’s latest release, Dragon, alongside Pradeep Ranganathan. Apart from STR49, Kayadu is also part of director-producer Aakash Bakaran’s upcoming film Idhayam Murali, headlined by actor Atharvaa.
Kayadu Lohar made her acting debut in 2021 in Kannada film titled Mugilpete. The actress, who hails from Assam, soon made her appearance in multiple film languages like Malayalam, Telugu, Marathi, and Tamil. She is known for her roles in films like Oru Jaathi Jaathakam, I Prem U, Alluri, and Pathonpatham.
