With its compelling storyline and spectacular visuals, the epic science fiction of Nag Ashwin Kalki 2898 AD has been breaking records at the box office, surpassing the 500 crore mark worldwide in its opening weekend. With positive reviews flooding all over, the movie dominates the Indian box office.

Ever since the release, the star-studded Kalki 2898 AD has been shattering records and creating its own at the box office with its phenomenal run. Over the four days, the movie garnered an impressive Rs 85 crore collection on Sunday alone, marking its second-highest single-day collection.

The movie made a remarkable debut at the box office with Rs 95.3 crore net on its opening day, as the movie was released on Thursday, June 28. And continues to rule the track with a collection of Rs 64.5 crore net on its second day. By the end of Sunday, the film’s total domestic collection reached Rs 302.4 crores. With collections from Indian and international markets, the movie attained Rs 671.9 crores.

The epic science fiction also captivated the international audience with its significant collection reporting Rs 369.5 crores in the international markets. Remarkably the movie garnered $5.4 million in North America, securing the fifth place in the North America box office. With this excellent performance, Kalki 2898 AD is trailing behind Inside Out 2 at $57.4 million, ‘A Quiet Place: Day One at $53 million,  ‘Horizon: An American Saga—Chapter 1 at $11 million, and ‘Bad Boys: Ride or Die’ at $10.3 million.

Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, ‘Kalki 2898 AD‘ is being produced on a massive budget of Rs 600 crore, thus making it India’s most expensive film. The movie features  Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Disha Patani in key roles and a series of blockbuster cameos including Dulquer Salman, Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur.
