Music composer Ramesh Narayan is facing severe backlash on his recent behavior at the trailer launch of the upcoming anthology series Manorathangal. The music composer has now reacted to the issue stating that it was unintentional to snub Asif Ali during the event.
A controversy had erupted after Asif Ali descended from the stage to present a memento to the music composer who ignored him, and insisted that director Jayaraj present the award.

The video of Ramesh ignoring actor Asif Ali, who presented a memento to the music composer and insisted the director Jayaraj hand him the award went viral over the internet. Netizens called out the music composer for his rude behavior and praised Asif’s for his patient demeanor during the awkward moment.
After facing massive criticism, Ramesh Narayan has now explained his stance, extending his apologies and making it clear that it was not his intention to hurt anyone. He stated, “I received the memento from Asif, but I wanted director Jayaraj also to join, since he is the director of the film. By the time Jayaraj came to hand over the award, Asif was not to be seen. I had wished him also. I really like him as an actor.”
However, actor Asif Ali has not yet made any comment on this issue.
