His rise to fame began in 2012 when he won the singing reality show Voice of Odisha Season 2, aired on Tarang TV. The victory brought him statewide recognition and opened the door to a successful career in playback singing. Soon after his win, he received a major break from Tarang Cine Productions.

He sang the title track of the Odia film Ishq Tu Hi Tu, composed by Abhijit Majumdar. The song became a hit and introduced him as a powerful and emotionally expressive singer.

Fans appreciated his strong voice, high-range singing style, and ability to express deep emotion. Apart from Odia music, he also worked on a Hindi album titled Mera Yeh Jahan. His popular Odia albums included Tuma Otha Tale, Niswasa, Bekhudee, and Chehera.
