All You Need To Know About India's Fastest Namo Bharat Train
Meerut, Uttar Pradesh: India’s first Namo Bharat Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) and the country’s fastest metro, has been in operation since Sunday, February 22 after Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the Meerut Metro and Namo Bharat services in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh.
The 82 km Delhi–Meerut Namo Bharat Corridor includes a 5-km scratch between Sarai Kale Khan and New Ashok Nagar in Delhi and the 21-km segment between Meerut South and Modipuram in Uttar Pradesh.
The Prime Minister flagged off a 5-km stretch between Sarai Kale Khan and New Ashok Nagar in Delhi, a 21-km stretch between Meerut South and Modipuram, and the metro section from Meerut South to Modipuram from Shatabdi Nagar station. The end-to-end journey between Delhi and Meerut will take just under an hour.
The Prime Minister on Sunday visited the Shatabdi Nagar Namo Bharat Station, where he inaugurated the remaining portions of the country’s fastest metro. The metro is expected to give a major boost to regional connectivity across Delhi-NCR as the services are all set to begin at 6 pm today.
